Ronald D. Smith

Ronald D. Smith born January 14 1957; died March 16, 2013. Visitation will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches from 5:00 -9:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2013 and service at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 19, 2013 with interment at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Catherine B. Smith, son Ronald Dale Smith, Jr., both of Natchitoches, daughter Rachel Vick and husband Derek of Dallas, three grandchildren, Kaydence and Conner Smith and Abigail Vick, one sister, Barbara Watmough (Dave) of Houston and one brother Emmitt Smith (Paulette) of Arkansas and a host of relatives, friends and business associates. Ronnie was preceded in death by parents Gordon and Helen Smith, sister Catherine Daniels and brothers, Jerry, Gerald and Robert Smith. Born in Hattisburg, MS, Ronnie worked in the construction industry and founded RDS Construction in Natchitoches in 1981. RDS has been General Contractor for numerous projects in Natchitoches and surrounding areas. Ronnie’s special skills have left a noteworthy impression on our area. An avid sportsman, Ronnie loved hunting and fishing. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
