Thomas H. Quantrille, Jr.

Thomas Hubbard Quantrille, Jr., a resident of Natchitoches, LA, died unexpectedly at his home on May 5, 2013. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm at Blanchard – St. Denis Funeral Home on May 9, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, May 10, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Church of Natchitoches with Rev. Catherine M. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at American Cemetery in Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Hubbard Quantrille, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty D. Quantrille, his mother, Velma B. Quantrille; two sons and their wives, Brett and Debbie Quantrille, Brian and Dawn Quantrille; two daughters, Desiree Caluda and Denise Ralls; five grandchildren, Jessie Quantrille, Duncan and Isabel Quantrille, Collin and Conner Ralls; and siblings, Joyce Hodges, Betty Foley, Richard Higgs, and Dale Phillips. Tom was born in Washington, DC on June 22, 1941. He graduated from the University of Tennessee and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He had a very successful business career in sales and marketing with Levi’s, Wrangler, and Texas Boots. Most recently, he worked in marketing at NSU. After retirement, Tom enjoyed boating on the river, dining with the Wednesday night supper club, working in the yard, volunteering with the Hospice of Natchitoches, and delivering lunches for the soup kitchen of Immaculate Conception. He was a loving man who always put family first. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Special Olympics of LA, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Natchitoches Human Society, or a charity of your choice.
