Elleace Bamburg Mitchell

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Elleace Mitchell will be 10 am Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Bamburg officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Elleace Mitchell, 91 years of age, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was born June 30, 1921 in Coushatta, LA to Lonnie and Clemmie (Scott) Bamburg. She was the owner/operator of a local fabric shop. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Burgis Mitchell, Sr.; her parents; and an infant son, Eugene Burgis Mitchell, Jr. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Terry Mitchell and his wife Mary of Shreveport and Don Mitchell of Atlanta, LA; sister, Dottie Avery of Hempstead, TX; brother, Jay Bamburg of Shreveport; grandchildren, Tad Mitchell, Tracy Young and Donnie Mitchell; and great grandchildren, Kacy Young, Allie Young and Issac Mitchell.
