Rebecca Kay McClain Rawls

Funeral services for Rebecca McClain Rawls will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Marthaville First Baptist Church in Marthaville, LA with Rev. Benji Colvin and Rev. Ray Dyess officiating. Interment will follow at Marthaville Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on May 21, 2013 at Marthaville First Baptist Church in Marthaville, LA. Rebecca Rawls, 53 years of age, passed away May 20, 2013. She was born February 23, 1960 to the late Duncan McClain and Audrey Lee Goings in Pineville, LA.  Becky Kay, as she was known, was a loyal and devoted wife to her husband, and a loving mother to her sons. She lived for her family, and would do anything in her power to help them, please them, and protect them. She was selfless, friendly, and often outspoken. Becky loved to travel, and she followed Johnny all over the world as he worked to provide for her and his family. She enjoyed cooking, and was even working on her own cookbook, although she wasn't able to complete it. She was dearly loved by her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Johnny Rawls of Marthaville, LA; two sons, John V. Rawls, Jr. and his wife Ashley G. Rawls of Whitehouse, TX and Jarrod McLain Rawls of Marthaville; her granddaughter, Bella Faye Rawls; her mother, Audrey L. Goings of Marthaville, LA; her sister, Lanell M. Nichols and husband Lynn D. Nichols of Charleston, S.C.; her brother, Gregory S. Goings and his wife Lisa of Marthaville, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Duncan W. McClain; her maternal grandparents, Almond Lee and Janie S. Lee; and her paternal grandparents, Henry W. McClain and Octavia McClain. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Danny Hall, Terry Lee, Kerry Rawls, J.W. Lilley, Cole Gentry, and Ted Youngblood.
