Frances Cecilia (Fredieu) Michael

Funeral service for Frances Cecilia Fredieu Michael will be 11 am Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 pm on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Michael, 89 and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Campti then later made her home in Natchitoches. She was a registered nurse, having worked for Dr. Eleanor Worsley for many years. A long-time member of the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she was a devout Christian lady. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchild, who brought her so much joy. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Faris Edgar “Eddie” Michael, III; two brothers, Bobby Fredieu and Bill Fredieu; one sister, Margie Reiser; and her parents, Edward and Mena (Maricelli) Fredieu. She is survived by her husband, Faris Edgar Michael, Jr. of Natchitoches; two sons, Steve “Bubba” Michael of Natchitoches and Malcolm Michael and his wife Meg of Natchitoches; two grandchildren, Leila Bordelon and her husband Shannon of Lake Charles and Alex Edgar Michael of New Orleans; one great grandchild, Kaylee Bordelon of Lake Charles; and two sisters, Mary Ann Gongre of Dickinson, TX and Betty Morgan and her husband Earl of Natchitoches. Pallbearers will be Alex Michael, David Gongre, Gary Gongre, Bob Morgan, J.B. Sanchez and Steve Harkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Morgan, Allen Kees, Ronald Roy, and Buddy Coutee. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Callie Williams, Mary Hubbard, Janice Jones, Karen Woods, Wanda Long and the nurses of Synergy Home Health for their tireless dedication, love and care of Mrs. Michael.
