Betty Jane Clakley

Betty Jane Musick Clakley, age 71, of Goldonna, La., died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at her home in Goldonna, La. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2008. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2008, with Rev. Truman Leach officiating. Interment will be at Goldonna Cemetery in Goldonna, La. Mrs. Betty lived entirely for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved many things in this life, mainly her poodle Honey, raising flowers, and working in her yard. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Garland "Teddy" Clakley, her parents, Herman Musick and Annie Dudley Musick, one daughter, Pamela Bedgood; one son, Gary Clakley; and one grandson, Dusty Thompson. She is survived by her four daughters, Carol Beal of Goldonna, La., Janet Thompson and husband Mike of Clarence, La., Teena Gongre and husband Durran of Montgomery, La., Robin Clakley of Goldonna, La.; twelve grandchildren, Blaine Eldreth, Jr., Lisa Eldreth, Kayne Thompson, Trey Thompson, Michelle Leone, Daniel Killingsworth, Racquel Bedgood, Samson Clakley, T.C. Clakley, Dylan Gongre, Marty Moberly, and Brandi Clakley; six great-grandchildren, Payton Williams, Kalon Thompson, Hayden Thompson, Alli Leone, Trevor Chalker, and Colie Killingsworth; four sisters, Joann Odom, Margie Smith, Patsy Baggett, and Maedene Crenshaw. Pallbearers will be John Leone, Jason Chalker, Dewade Killingsworth, Jonathan Schmidt, Josh Bedgood, Darcy McGee.
