Frances Ruth Chenault

Frances Ruth Nichols Chenault, age 73, of Plaquemine, La., passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at River West Hospital in Plaquemine, La. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2008. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2008, with Rev. Don Doughty officiating. Interment will be at Cleveland Cemetery in Lena, La. Mrs. Frances was a very strong Christian lady. Her walk with God was the most important thing in her life. She loved raising flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Nichols and Thelma Beebe Nichols; one granddaughter, Audrey Grant; one brother, Robert "Gene" Nichols; and one sister, Bobbie Nichols. She is survived by her husband, A.B. Chenault; three daughters, Rosemary Troquille and husband Ray of Natchitoches, La., Diane Chenault of Plaquemine, La., and Nita Doughty and husband Jeff of Plaquemine, La.; seven grandchildren, Joshua Minyard, Caleb Minyard, Martha Doughty, Levi Minyard, Naomi Doll, Andrew Troquille, and Jude Doughty; and one great-grandchild, Vivien Leigh Grant. Pallbearers will be Jude Doughty, Andrew Troquille, Joshua Minyard, Caleb Minyard, Levi Minyard, and Justin Doll.
