Jake LaCour, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jake LaCour, Jr. will be 11 am Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Natchitoches, LA with Rev John O’Brien serving as celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Augustine Mausoleum in Isle Brevelle, LA. The family will receive friends form 9 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 18th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Jake LaCour, Jr. was born November 1, 1927 to Jake and Addie (Balthazar) LaCour, Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one brother, Earnest LaCour, Sr.; and two sisters, Madeline LaCour and Etheline Llorens. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his loving wife of 50 years, Dorothy (Metoyer) LaCour; five sisters, Flayrose Balthazar, Mayrose LaCour, Bonnie Coutee (Ellis), Regina Freedman, and Addie Roque (Francis); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Darnell Coutee, James Lester Metoyer, Sr., Steve Roque, James M. LaCour, Robert Metoyer, and James Rachal, Jr. Honorary pallberers will be Otis LaCour, Sr., Anthony LaCour, Sr., Fred Metoyer, Francis Roque, Otis LaCour, Jr., Richard Chevalier, Ellis Coutee, Jr., and Curtis Balthazar, Jr.
