A service to honor the life of Mrs. Marie Gourdon will be 10 am Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Truman Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Goldonna Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mrs. Eva Marie Gourdon, 81 years of age, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born April 1, 1932 to Wilmer and Alma (Antee) Trichel in Natchitoches. She was a faithful and long time member of Creston Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Alma (Antee) Trichel; a son, Richard Brown; a grandson, Christopher Monroe; and a brother, Loyd Trichel. She is survived by her husband, Scrib Gourdon of Goldonna; sons, Anthony Brown and Jessie Gourdon both of Goldonna; daughters, Elizabeth Monroe of Milton, WA and Jackie Stewart of Goldonna. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Medlin, Collin Wall, Junior Monroe, Greg Monroe, Keith Stewart, And Bruce Stewart. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dustin Stewart.
