Lucille Vallery Delacerda

Funeral services for Lucille Vallery Delacerda will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Emmanuel, LA with Fr. John Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a recitation of the Rosary held at 7:00 pm on July 7, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Lucille Delacerda, 93 years of age, passed away July 5, 2013. Lucille was born September 9, 1919 to the late Addie Vallery and Luma Vallery in Chopin, LA. "Cile", as she was known, was a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Joseph. She loved flowers and enjoyed cooking; but her family was the closest to her heart. She was a life long member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Chopin. She truly was a caring person, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Delacerda; her parents, Addie and Luma Vallery; one son, John Wayne Delacerda; and one daughter, Joyce Annette Possoit. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brandon Glenn, Triston Glenn, Jonathan Delacerda, Justin Delacerda, Tim Vallery, Mason Delacerda, Israel Nelson, and Christopher Glenn.
