Darwin Guillory

Memorial services for Darwin Guillory will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Trichell Community, LA with Fr. Thomas Paul officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Darwin, 84 years of age, passed away July 16, 2013 in Natchitoches, LA. He was born January 23, 1929 to the late Nathan Guillory and Avia La Fleur Guillory in Ville Platte, LA. Darwin was a cattle rancher and school bus driver for many years. He was a caring and compassionate man, who would always try to help anyone in need. He was a hard worker, spending his days on the farm taking care of his cows. He had a quiet strength and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was survived by his wife of 26 years, Margaret Owen Guillory of Natchitoches, LA; one stepdaughter, Connie Davis Thompson and husband Tommy of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Emily and Jamie Thompson; and one sister, Sis. Albina Guillory of Opelousas, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Guillory and Avia La Fleur Guillory; his first wife, Pearl Hampton Davis Guillory; one sister, Alice Pritchett; one brother, Nathan Edsel Guillory; and one stepson, Carl Waymon "Froggie" Davis, Jr.
