Funeral services will be conducted at the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home for Norma Ann Kaufman of Natchitoches, La. on July 20, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Richard Kaufman, Rev. Doug DeGraffenried and Associate Pastor Linda Clark. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Mrs.Kaufman entered into rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Norfolk, Va. February 9, 1932. She moved to Shreveport where she graduated from Fair Park High School and furthered her education at the Business College there. She worked for the First National Bank of Shreveport for six years. Later she moved to Natchitoches La. where she lived most of her life. She became a member of the First United Methodist Church in 1955 and taught Sunday School there for 17 years. She was also a former employee of the K.N.O.C. Radio Station in Natchitoches.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Edwards of Shreveport, LA and Mr. Ben Delbridge of Norfolk, Va.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth Kaufman, three sons, Kenny Kaufman and wife Stephanie, Edward Kaufman and wife Kay all of Natchitoches and Dr. Rev. Richard Kaufman and wife Sue of Martin, La. Two grandsons, Eric Kaufman and wife Melissa and Regan Kaufman of Natchitoches. Three granddaughters, Anna Kaufman Dupre' and husband Robert of Natchitoches, Lindsey Kaufman Wynne and husband Justin of Keithville, La. and Cari Kaufman Galloway of Stonewall, La. Eight great grandchildren, Kara Kaufman, Joseph Jones, Seth Galloway, Macy Wynne, Hannah Wynne, Julianne Wynne, Khloe Kaufman and Erin Dupre'.
These grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Eric Kaufman, Justin Wynne, Regan Kaufman, Robert Dupre', Sonny Evans, and Freddy Maricelli.
The family would like to thank the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center staff , Dr.Otis Barnum, and Hospice of Natchitoches for the loving care shown during her illness.
