Gwendolyn Gayle Joseph

A time to reflect and honor the life of Gwendolyn Joseph will be from 11 am until 2 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Gwendolyn Joseph, 64 years of age, passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday July 24, 2013 in Natchitoches. She was born September 21, 1948 to John and Odie (Patton) DuBois in Monroe, LA. She was an assistant warden with Natchitoches Women’s Correctional Facility for many years as well as working for the Washington Correctional Institute. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Cynthia J. Warner and her husband Doug; grandson, Dustin A. Warner; great granddaughter, Lilly Nicole Warner; niece, Donna Leone; and aunts, Decie Patton, Cleo Taylor and Creasy Duffy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Joseph; her parents, John Dubois and Odie (Patton) DuBois; granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Warner; sister, Beverly Jean Grimes; and brothers, Charles Andrew DuBois and Gerry DuBois.
