Graveside services for Jewell Dean Cook Williams will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Interment will follow the services at Memory Lawn. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on August 2, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Jewell Williams, 77 years of age, passed away July 29, 2013 in her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 10, 1936 to the late Lawrence Albert Cook and Iva Price Cook in Cosby, TN. Jewell was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived for her family, was always there when she was needed, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Williams Stewart and husband Michael of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Bill Williams, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Travis Stewart and wife Abby of Bossier, LA and Natalie Stewart of Natchitoches, LA; one great grandson, Conner Stewart; two brothers, Eugene Cook and wife Audra of Hendersonville, NC and Daniel Cook and wife Evelyn of Paoli, PA; one sister, Loretta Targett and husband James of Elmer, NJ; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Williams Sr.; and her parents, Lawrence and Iva Cook; and one brother, Jay Cook. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mrs Jewell's close family and friends.
