Funeral services for Eron Ge’Nae Waggoner Savic, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in the Chapel of Blanchard-St Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Goldonna Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Savic passed away at Schumpert Christus Medical Center in Shreveport, LA in Dubois care unit on August 4, 2013 after a lengthly illness. She was a native of Creston, LA and made her home in Akron, Ohio for the past 34 years. After retiring from nursing, she returned to Campti, LA. She graduated High School in Goldonna in 1959, attended Nursing School in Shreveport and graduated in 1960, then attended Akron University in 1983 for Pharmacology. She worked and retired from Akron General Medical Center and St. Thomas Hospital in 2007.
She was a member of Akron Baptist Temple, Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crocheting in her spare time. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joesph Riley “Jack” Waggoner and Artie Brantley Waggoner of Creston; her grandson, Timothy Joesph Anslem of Campti; her Grandparents; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her husband Bratoljub “Bob” Savic of Campti; her daughter, Theresa C. Anslem and husband Troy of Campti; her grandson, Troy R. “Ray” Anslem, Jr. and wife Holly of Fairview Alpha; one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Addison Anslem; and one great-grandson, Colton Riley Anslem.
