Theresa Jeanette Free

On Thursday the 1st of August 2013, Theresa Jeanette (Veazey) Free died on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Renee’ and Charlie Denham, near Winnfield, Louisiana. She was 73 years of age. Mrs. Free was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on November 22, 1940. She was the daughter of Willis Joseph Veazey and Cecilia Myrtle (Beard) Veazey. She married James “Big Jim” Dewitt Free on October 23, 1958 at Alvin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband and by her daughter, Dana Jeanine Free. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Free and wife Dale (Burlington, KS); daughters Jodie Monee’ LaCour (Bend, OR) and Cecelia “Renee’” Denham and husband Charles (Winnfield, LA); granddaughters Fallon N. Dale and husband Jared (Emporia, KS), Desiree’ A. Denham and Kayla R. Denham; sisters Sherry Abegzel, Linda Winters and Mildred Naquin; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Free will be cremated. A visitation at 10:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.
