Alice Ann McCallister Guin

Funeral services for Alice Ann McCallister Guin will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Blanchard-St. Denis with Brother Mike Honzell officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hagewood, LA. Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis in Natchitoches, LA. Alice Ann Guin, was born in Natchitoches, LA on February 20, 1932 to the late John McCallister and wife Ina Stephens McCallister and passed away on August 14, 2013 in Alexandria, LA. Alice, age 81, was a beautician by trade but an angel at heart. She welcomed everyone with open arms and a kiss on the cheek. She was a devout Christian and devoted member of United Baptist Church in Campti and a choir director for numerous years. Her years were spent quilting, fishing, hunting, and cooking to name a few. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert C. Guin of Campti, LA, five sons, Robert G. Guin and wife Sandra of Campti, LA, George Calvin Guin Sr. and wife Devina of Campti, LA, Ronald Guin and wife Becky of Campti, LA, Kenneth Guin and wife Linda of Cypress, LA, and Jackie Guin and wife Cheryl of Campti, LA ; one brother, Ronnie McCallister of Bellwood, LA; two sisters, Mary Brister of Provencal, LA and Lanora Jennings of Natchitoches, LA; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John McCallister and Ina Mae Stephens McCallister; her sisters, Marie McCallister, Lila Mae Fitzpatrick, Bell Jordan, Jo Fuller, and Molly Brown; and her brothers, George McCallister, John McCallister Jr. and Luther McCallister. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be, George Guin Jr., Cane Guin, Lee Guin, Marshall Guin, Joshua Guin, and Jake Guin. Honorary pallbearers will be William Wren, Jay Donald, Jack Harvill, and Greg Moran.
