Pierce Louis Longlois

Graveside services for Pierce Louis Longlois will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood , LA with Dr. H. Murry Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood, LA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on August 23, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Pierce Longlois, 79 years of age, passed away August 20, 2013. Pierce was born September 16, 1933 to the late Louis Longlois and Selistine Thomasee Longlois in Flora, LA. Pierce was loving husband and dedicated his life towards his family. He was a devout Christian, and was a dedicated member of Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. He and his wife thouroughly enjoyed traveling and spending time camping. Pierce served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was very caring and compassionate, loved by all who knew him, and will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Mike Jones and wife Kilita of Bellwood, LA; two grandchildren, Cindy Calvert of Newport, KY and Matthew Calvert of Midlothian, VA; one sister, Lucille Bennett of Natchitoches, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death recently by his loving wife of 43 years, Gladys Norsworthy Longlois; his parents, Louis Longlois and Selistine Thomasee Longlois; one daughter, Barbara Jones Calvert; one grandson, Tyler Jones; one sister, Mildred Rachal; and three brothers, Wilford Longlois, Sammie Longlois, and John "J.V." Longlois.
