A service to honor the life of Mrs. Ann Graham Hall will be 10 am Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Creston Baptist Church with Bro. Truman Leach and Charles Cloud officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Creston, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm Monday, August 26, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hall, 91 years of age and a resident of Creston, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. She was born February 15, 1922 to the late Alonzo Graham and Annie Garrett Graham in Creston, LA. Ann was a loving and caring person. She had a colorful personality, a quick wit, and a fierce love for her family. Ann was a mother and mentor to her family, and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved God, and dedicated her life to serving him and the Church. She was a pianist and organist, serving where ever she was needed. She was a member of the musical group "Collard Greens", and was a member of the choral group, "Joyful Sounds". She loved music, and enjoyed singing to the Lord. Ann was loved by all who knew her, and will be dearly missed by her family, her church, and her friends.
She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Helen Graham of Natchitoches, LA and Lucille Graham of Shreveport, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hall; her parents Alonzo Graham and Annie Garrett Graham; one sister, Aline Eaves; and six brothers, Cecil Graham, Winfred Graham, U.G. Graham, Leslie Graham, S.L. Graham, and Reginald Graham.
Serving as pallbearers will be David McAlpin, Frank Gates, Herbert Cowart, Jimmy Williams, Jim Williams,Garland (Red) Giddings, and Juan Castro. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wren, Bobby Patterson, and Wesley Meyers.
