Clifford D. Edwards

A service to honor the life of Mr. Clifford D. Edwards will be 1 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Strange Methodist Cemetery in Readhimer, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm Friday, September 20, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mr. Edwards, 81 years of age, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 in Natchitoches, LA. He was born February 19, 1932 in Kisatchie, LA to the late James and Anner (Lee) Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie M. Edwards; siblings, Eunice V. Boles and Tishie Bolton. He proudly served in the United States Army before being honorably discharged in 1956. He worked many years for the LA Forestry Service as a technician. He will be dearly missed by his brother, John S. Edwards of Provencal as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Chris Edwards, Devine Deramus, Eddie Deramus, Shawn Martin and Jimmy Martin, Jr. and CB Brown, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Boles, Jimmy Edwards and Junior Edwards.
