Melvin Carnline

A service to honor the life of Mr. Melvin Carnline will be held 2 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis. Interment will follow at Lambertown Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Saturday, October 5th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Carnline, 91 years of age, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at his residence in Shreveport, LA. He was born August 10, 1922 to Riley Carnline and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Carnline in Dry Prong, LA. He worked and ultimately retired from D.E. Stearns & Co. after many years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lodis Carnline; a son, Rayford Carnline of Shreveport; a daughter, Judy Horn of Doyline; grandchildren, Debra Stricklin of Doyline and Todd Carnline of Shreveport; his sister, Vergie Lee Niette of Robeline. He was blessed with six great grandchildren, Chris, Cody, Justice, Nathaniel, Elizabeth and William as well as 2 great-great grandchildren, Mason and Danny.
