Funeral services for Gay Nell Kay will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Doug De Graffenreid officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Provencal, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on October 15, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Gay Nell, 77 years of age, passed away October 11, 2013. Gay was born May 8, 1936 to the late Jodie Kay and Lizzie Horn Kay in Provencal, LA. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as gardening, reading, bird watching, cooking, and listening to classical music. She became a Christian at the young age of four years old, being baptized by Brother Monroe Roberts. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind her children, Judy Trichel and husband Robert and David Montgomery and wife Susie; three grandchildren, Davey Montgomery, Zareena Montogomery, and Zengki Garces of Katy, TX; one great grandson, Anthony Garces; two sisters, Helen Taylor of Provencal, LA and Pat Ryan of Kingwood, TX; and two brothers, Sonny Kay of Kingwood, TX and Donny Kay of Kingwood, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie Kay and Lizzie Horn Kay; and one sister, Jo Ann Kay.
