Mrs. Torres, 79 years of age, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Natchitoches. She was born June 12, 1934 to William Warner Temple, Sr. and Cora Lou (Walters) Temple in Winnsboro, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Onnie Lilley, Hazel Morgan, W.W. Temple, Jr. , Jim Temple and Huey Temple; as well as a granddaughter, Angelon Carroll.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Like the stories she told her grandchildren, Lillian was an
extraordinary woman, as well as a loving wife, a warm mother,
and a beautiful person in general. She cared
more about others than herself and she could always
find beauty in everything. She always put her
family first. If you ask any one person who knew her
what they missed most about her you wouldn't
get the same answer twice. Her grandchildren would
tell you that it was the “Hot Cocoa Dance”, or stories
of “Sneaky Snake” along with massages at bedtime.
Her husband would tell you it was the relentless love
and devotion she gave to him and all the years they spent together
making memories. Her children would tell you that she never met
a single stranger; family or not, she would always make sure you
had food in your belly and a place to rest your head at night.
She was an amazing soul, and heaven is lucky to have gained her
Rest Easy Lillian, We Know You Are Smiling Down On Us All.
