Funeral service for Elaine Williams Mitchell will be held 3 PM Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery, La. with Rev. Brad Webb and Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Montgomery, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 5 PM until Thursday, May 29, 2008 service time in the church. Mrs. Mitchell, 73, of Montgomery, La., died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La. She was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery, La. She was a homemaker and charter member of Northside Baptist Church and a member of Olive Chapter 50 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alburn Mitchell; one son, Charles 'Chuck' Mitchell; parents, Earl Williams and Mable Jowers Williams. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Graham of Morgan City, La. and Sherry Picou of Lafayette, La.; three sons, Joseph H. Lestage of Montgomery, La., Ronnie Lestage of Morgan City, La., and Kevin Mitchell of Montgomery, La.; eight grandchildren; seven brothers, J. B. Williams of Tioga, La., Virgil Williams of Alexandria, La., Wayne Williams of Gatesville, Texas, Charles Williams of Montgomery, La., Mervin Williams of Alexandria, La., Marlin Williams of Montgomery, La., and Irvin Williams of Montgomery, La. Pallbearers will be Chris Mitchell, Gary Parker, Butch Johnson, Tracy Graham, Mervin Williams, and Clint Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Edwareds, Dustin Mitchell, and Kris Lestage.
