Funeral service for Joe Ann Box will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Leslie Akins officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on November 1, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.
Joe Ann Box, 73 years of age, passed away October 29, 2013. She was born April 8, 1940 to the late Morris Noah Coleman and Mickey Elizabeth Boyt Coleman in Natchitoches, LA. She was the owner and operator of Jack in the Box Day Care in Natchitoches, LA for over 35 years, where she became part of many families through many generations. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to the care of her family and anyone that she came in contact with. She loved life and never met a stranger. As long as she was on the go, she was happy. She always brought a smile to the room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Elizabeth Box of Natchitoches, LA and Donna Kay Box of Clinton, LA; three brothers, Tommy Coleman and wife Barbara of Holly Lake, TX, Gary Coleman and Kathi Joines of Houston, TX, and Dewayne Coleman and fiance Chris of Florida; two brother-in-laws, Milfred and David Box; and one sister-in-laws, Vennie Box; two grand-dogs, Cole and Dixie Box; numerous nieces and nephews; and three life-long friends, Sophia Washington, Hazel Holloway, and Audrey Bailey. A special thanks is offered to Elizabeth, Greg, Angie, Arlene, Cindy, Melise, Jenny, Marla, MaryAnn, and Rhonda.
She is preceded in death her husband, Jack Box; her parents, Morris Noah Coleman and Mickey Elizabeth Boyt Coleman; her brother, Ronald Coleman; one sister, Nell Box; and a life-long friend, Myrna Maggio.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jeffery Coleman, Gregory Grayson, Gill Hudsonpiller, Wayne Ragan, Jason Coleman, Peyton Coleman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Hudsonpiller, Charlou Maggio, Johnny Wanger, and Thomas Dunagan.
The family would like to thank everyone for their loving care and kindness during Mrs. Box's illness, and a special thanks to Dr. Kirkias and his staff for his care.
