Funeral services for Mitchell Edwards will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Blanchard-St Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA at 2:00 pm with Rev. Matthew Pagels officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Blanchard-St Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Mr. Edwards, 81 years of age, passed away on Sunday, November, 03, 2013 at the Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Natchitoches, LA. He was a former employee with The City of Natchitoches in the waste management department and was also a self-employed waste collector. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Edwards and Ada Milstead Edwards; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by one brother, Johnnie K. Edwards of Natchitoches, LA; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice of Natchitoches, Dr. Mary Long, and Ms. Bonnie for the superior care for many years.
