Ruby Lee (Thomasee) McCoy

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Ruby McCoy will be 1 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Father Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mrs. McCoy, 69 years of age, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was born August 16, 1944 to Morris and Emma (Vercher) Thomasee in Natchitoches. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Toni Lewis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jerry McCoy of Natchitoches; son, Jimmy Howell, Jr. of Gautier, MS; daughter, Tammie Walker and her husband David of Natchitoches; sister, Elaine Jones and her husband Jimmy of Keithville, Leonard Thomasee and his wife Debbie of Provencal. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Amber Calvert, Brandon Howell, Courtney Colston, Hannah Walker, and Whitt Walker; and 4 great grandchildren, Morgan Howell, Kira Calvert, Kayne Calvert and London Lonadier. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Johnnie Lewis, Jimmy Jones, Bud Dupree, Brad Calvert, David Walker and Derick Jones.
