Funeral services for Cecil Charles Freeman will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Friendship Church of the Nazarene near Robeline, LA with his sons Rev. Gerald Willie Freeman and Rev. Jimmy Charles Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Lambertown Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on December 26, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.
Cecil Freeman, 93 years of age, passed away December 21, 2013. Cecil was born April 11, 1920 to the late Wille Henry Freeman and Maude Smith Freeman in Robeline, LA. He was a man of honor and integrity. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was a tremendous example to his family as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was a faithful Christian his whole life. He was a dedicated member of Friendship Church of the Nazarene near Robeline, LA for around forty years. He worked as a share-cropper, logger, he worked for the railroad and the police jury, a mechanic, and other jobs, all to provide for his family. Cecil was a jack-of-all trades. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, either fishing or hunting, and later in life, gardening became a passion to him. He was truly a great man, lived a long and fruitful life, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Rev. Jimmy Charles Freeman and wife Lynda of Robeline, LA and Rev. Gerald Willie Freeman and wife Lois of Dublin, TX; three daughters, Patsy Rutledge, Linda Ann Freeman, and Sue Marie Freeman, all of Robeline, LA; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Clonia Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, LA.
He was preceded in death by his lovng wife, Lettie Marie Holt Freeman; his parents, Wille Henry Freeman and Maude Smith Freeman; and his sister, Celia Diehl.
