Funeral services for Gloria Pierce, 72, of Elm Grove, LA will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Gloria Pierce joined Christ our Lord and Savior December 25, 2013. She was born March 1, 1941 in Marianna, Arkansas. Gloria was a devoted wife to William A. Pierce for 54 years and raised 4 beautiful boys that she worshipped. Gloria loved time spent with family and talked to her prized sons daily. Gloria could find the best in all God’s creatures. She taught Sunday school at Grand Ecore Baptist Church for many years and was called upon frequently to nourish our brothers and sisters with her delicious cooking. She enjoyed every moment of her service. She also spent approximately 30 years in the real estate industry as a sales agent. Gloria's loving spirit, smile and laugh were contagious to all that entered her life. Gloria dearly loved her beautiful daughter in laws and treated each as her own. She had many special people in her life. Gloria especially knew she could depend upon her neighbors, Mark & Kathy Davis as well as Larry & Kim Davidson. She loved them the same as family. Her genuine giddiness for life will be missed dearly by all, but we all will continue to celebrate the countless blessings she has bestowed upon our lives. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Roddy Burrows; mother, Eula Burrows; brother, Randy Burrows; and oldest beloved son, Merrill A. Pierce. Gloria is survived by her adoring husband, William A. Pierce of Elm Grove, La; three sons, Merrick A. Pierce and wife Donna of Natchitoches, LA, Marshall A. Pierce and wife Valerie of Alpharetta, GA, and Madison A. Pierce and wife Crystal of Natchitoches, LA; two sisters, Judy McGrew and husband Dan of Shreveport, LA and Debbie Jones and husband Bo of Texas; one brother, Jeff Burrows of Minden, LA; two granddaughters, Melanie Roge and Katie Bludworth; three grandsons, Michael Pierce, Morgan Pierce, and Maison Pierce; and two great-granddaughters, Merideth Pierce and Aubrie Roge.
