Funeral services for Tressie Lea Orsborn will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. John Weems officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hagewood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on December 31, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Tressie Orsborn, 83 years of age, passed away December 30, 2013. Tressie was born June 2, 1930 to the late John Watley and Eula Wyatt Watley in Campti, LA. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cared for her family tremendously, and considered her grandchildren to be the apple of her eye. She was a strong Christian lady, and lived by strong convictions. She attended Provencal United Pentecostal Church for most of her life, as did her mother, father, and grandparents. Tressie was a strong supporter of St. Judes Childrens Hospital. She gave of herself to her whole family, but she especially cared for her grandsons. She will be dearly missed by all who came in contact with her. She is survived by her daughter, Debra McCollum and husband Johnny of Jonesboro, LA; two grandsons, Michael Broadway and wife Jennifer of Ruston, LA and David Broadway and wife Shasta of Chatham, LA; six great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lauren, Memphis, Parker, Paige, and Paisley; two sisters, Elaine Weems and husband Earl of Coldwater, LA and Pat Ray and husband Dale of Thibadeaux, LA; and two brothers, W.F. Watley of Coldwater, LA and Roy Watley and wife Linda of Provencal, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Orsborn, Jr; her parents, John Watley and Eula Wyatt Watley; one sister, Margie Horn; one brother, Ray Watley; and one grandson, Terry Broadway Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Michael Broadway, David Broadway, Randy White, Steven White, Wayne Watley, and David Weems.
