William Cleve "Sammy" Cobb, Jr.

A service to honor the life of Mr. William Cleve “Sammy” Cobb, Jr. will be 1 pm Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. James Lee officiating. Interment will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Sammy, 48 years of age and a resident of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Bossier City. He was born February 6, 1965 in Alexandria, LA. He was a “jack of all trades” and worked many different construction jobs over the course of his life. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wayne Alexander Cobb; a brother, Harold Robert Cobb; grandparents, Robert Singletary and Leo and Grace Cobb; and a nephew, Christopher Cobb. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, William and Sharon Cobb of Princeton, sister, Jeanna Marie Sulzer and her husband Troy of Doyline; brother, Jonathan Cobb and his wife Bambie of Doyline; grandmother, Melva Singletary of Natchitoches; nieces and nephews, Julian Cobb, Nathan Cobb, Dalton Cobb, Courtney McGrew and her husband Josh and Dakota Sulzer; a great niece and great nephew, Rebekah McGrew and Timothy McGrew; aunts, Karen Smith, Cathy Ramsey, Cleo Sweeny and husband Bobby, Josephine Jawaski, Kerry Thibodeaux and husband Ronnie, and Janice Cobb; uncles, Jerry Cobb and wife Donna, and Preston Milam as well as many friends.
