Doris Broadway Strickland

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Doris Broadway Strickland will be 2 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Manning officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Doris Broadway Strickland passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 in Natchitoches. She was born May 24, 1938 in Bellwood, La to Lawrence and Rosa Master Broadway. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Everett Broadway; and a sister in law, Sally Broadway. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Beverly Gray and her fiancé John Donahoe, Deborah Fuller and her husband Charles, Sandy Snodgrass and Greg, Karen Rhodes and her husband Robert, Danna McArthur and Stacie McCullough and her husband Shannon; sons, Carl Upchurch and his wife Yvonne, Michael Simpson and his wife Charlotte and John Simpson and his wife Tiffany; brothers, Earl Broadway and his wife Renee, Eulas Broadway and his wife Carolyn and Elton Broadway; she was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Her grandsons are honored to serve as pallbearers, Eric Upchurch, Quinten Snodgrass, Riley Fuller, Bobby Gray, Christopher Fuller, Billy Gray, Marcus Rhodes and Chad Fuller.
