Patrick James Strickland

Patrick James Strickland, born September 7, 1972 went home to be with our Lord on January 26, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Sue Ammons Strickland, grandfather, William Ammons, step-grandmother, Hilda Ammons, father, William James Strickland, Jr. and wife Sandi, step-brother, Heath Goins, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louree Ammons and her infant son, David Eugene Ammons, paternal grandfather William James Strickland, Sr. and grandmother, Lula Oxley Strickland. As a lover of the outdoors, Patrick was always looking for a good fishing hole or a place to hunt. He loved to work and worked hard at his tasks. He never met a stranger and had heart as big as the sky. Pat will be missed and his memory will be cherished forever. The Celebration of Patrick’s life was held at Old Bethel Baptist Church officiated by Ministers Kenny and Diane Carter, of Church of God of Prophecy of Many, LA. Honoring Patrick as pall bearers were Charles Clary, Toya Luce, Kenny Sandel, Cody Ammons, Wayne Ammons and Glen Ammons. Patrick was laid to rest at Old Bethel Cemetery.
