A service to honor the life of Mr. Doyle Campbell will be 11 am Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Isadore Davis officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Spanish Lake, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm – 9 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis.
Doyle, 65 years of age, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. He was born on December 28, 1948 in Kentucky, but has been a Provencal resident for many years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachal Dowell Campbell. He was a hard worker and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Sonya Desadier Campbell; father, Calvin C. Campbell of Provencal; sons, Troy Campbell and wife Jody of Stonewall, Chad Garcie of Shreveport, Jonathan Garcie and wife Jessica of Natchitoches; and Kenneth Campbell of Colorado; daughters, Amanda Campbell of Stonewall, Wendy Campbell of Slidell and Heide Garcie of Robeline; sisters, Darlene Hollis and husband David of Texas, Marlene Adams and husband Michael of Texas and Mona Campbell of Provencal. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, Baleigh Campbell, Candace Myers, Hunter Myers, Cade Keel, Sommer Clark, Gabe Clark, Ethan (Peter) Garcie, Skylar Garcie, Joshua Garcie, Jenna Garcie, Joel Manausa, James Manausa, Peyton Jackson and Lauren Jackson.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Charlie Solice, Roy Solice, Ricky Lacaze, Leon Davis, Jr., Bobby Behan, Charles Ray Dedon and Jeffrey Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles French, Sr. and Charles French, Jr.
The family wishes to “thank” the staff at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport to include: Dr. Grier, Dr. Harper, Dr. High, and Dr. Wilden; as well as the nursing staff: Jeremy Scroggins, Samuel Mancilla, DeShonda Tucker, Steve McCrae, Chad Dice, Heather Kline and Kathy Scott. Their care and compassion was a blessing in such a difficult time.
