Funeral services for Lloyd Foshee will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Floyd Foshee officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on March 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Lloyd Foshee, 86 years of age, passed away March 2, 2014. Lloyd was born December 15, 1927 to the late Sim and Arrie Foshee in Vowells Mill, LA. He was a veteran and a 20 year retiree of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam and Korea. He was a great husband, and a dedicated friend. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, was down to earth, and was always there when he was needed. He enjoyed making syrup, planting a garden, and coon hunting. He was a Baptist by faith, and had a strong belief in God. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene Nelms Foshee of Vowells Mill, LA; two brothers, Rev. Floyd Foshee and wife Nora Lois of LaPorte, TX and Eddie Foshee and wife Doris of Vowells Mill, LA; one sister, Evelyn Rigsby of Converse, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Sim and Arrie Foshee; two brothers, Earl Foshee and Nuell and his wife Ruby Foshee; two sisters, Ollie Foshee and Lily Foshee; his brother-in-law, Delmer Rigsby; special sister-in-law; Eloise Honeycutt; and a special friend, George "Monk" Holland. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bruce Rigsby, Charles Honeycutt, Tony Honeycutt, David Rigsby, Douglas Foshee, and Mike Rivers. Greg Howell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
