A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Michael Paul Tousek will be 10 am Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Natchitoches with Father John O’Brien serving as celebrant. Interment with military honors will be at Converse Cemetery in Converse, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, March 12th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Tousek, 66 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He was born February 7, 1948 in Cleveland, TX to Edward and Helen Tousek. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After serving his country, he worked at International Paper in the maintenance department for 37 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Helen Tousek; sons, Theron Tousek and his wife Chasity of Natchitoches, Jason Tousek of Natchitoches, and Timothy Tousek and his wife Krystyn of Natchitoches; a daughter, Tracey Harris and her husband Payton of Parker, CO; sister, Linda Coleman and her husband Ronald of North Little Rock, AR; and a brother, James Tousek of Chattanooga, TN. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Donovan, Heather, Tyler, Tiffany, Haylee, Cady, Keri and Taylor. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Lane James, Charles O’Con, Harlan Harper, Mike Scott, Eddie Dowden and Calib Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be his sons and son in law.
