Judy Salard Phillips

A service to celebrate the life of Judith Vaughan Salard Phillips will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Rodney VinZant, Rev. James Swartz, and Rev. Saundra Hillman-Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home on Saturday, March 15, 2015 in Natchitoches, LA. “Judy” Phillips, 57 years of age, passed away March 13, 2014. Judith was born July 14, 1956 to Buzz Salard and Janet Darche Salard in Newport, Rhode Island.  The legacy that Judy leaves behind cannot be expressed in simple words. She was a true inspiration and her gentle spirit was felt by everyone blessed enough to have her in their lives. She was a giver, a fighter, a mother, an outstanding grandmother, and a provider - but, most of all, she was a true servant of Christ. Judy’s love will forever touch those left behind to celebrate her homecoming. While her body suffered on this earth, she drew strength from her faith in Him. She is now in heaven… DANCING! She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Phillips Nichols and husband Brandon of Boyce, LA and Mack Lynn Phillips of Lena, LA; her grandchildren, Timber Nichols and Lincoln Nichols of Boyce; her parents, Buzz Salard and Janet Darche Salard of Natchitoches, LA; one sister, Doris Whatley and husband Dan of Natchitoches, LA; four brothers, John Salard and wife Pat of Natchitoches, LA, Gary Salard and wife Michelle of Imboden, AR, Greg Salard and wife Laura of Wrangell, AK, and Glenn Salard of Simpson, LA; and her sisters-in-Christ, Brenda Ramo of Deville, LA, Debora Kerry of Mora, LA, and Shirley Edwards of Pineville, LA.
