David Byron Keen

Funeral services for David  Keen will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in  Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Stanley Clemmons officiating. Interment will follow at Sanders Cemetery in Goldonna, LA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on March 16, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. David Keen, 63 years of age, passed away March 14, 2014. David was born June 4, 1950 to the late Voyce Keen and Lucy Parker Keen in Winnfield, LA.  He was a faithful and loving husband for over 37 years. He served his nation proudly by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps and fighting in the Vietnam War. David never met a stranger, loved to travel, and was full of life. He thoroughly enjoyed campaigning for his favorite politicians. He enjoyed cooking gumbo and fishing as pastimes. One of his greatest enjoyments was watching his two grandsons play baseball and football. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Keen of Bossier City, LA; one son, Britt Eric Keen and wife Mary of Bossier City, LA; two grandsons, Brody Pierce Keen and Colton David Keen of Bossier City, LA; two sisters, Beverly Hefner and husband Cecil of Sibley, LA and Judy Keen of Georgetown, LA; and one brother, Anthony Keen and wife Carolyn of Splendora, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Voyce Keen and Lucy Parker Keen; one daughter, Ashley Keen; one sister, Rose Keen; and one brother, Tommy Keen.
