Funeral services for Louis Steve Skinner will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Provencal in  Provencal, LA with Rev. Bruce Mitchell and Rev. Roger Matkin officiating. Interment will follow at Coldwater Baptist Church in Coldwater, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on March 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Provencal in Provencal, LA. Louis Skinner, 62 years of age, passed away March 18, 2014. He was born March 27, 1951 to the late Henry Louis Skinner and Dorothy Pauline Greer Skinner in Many, LA.  Steve graduated in 1969 from Bayou Chicot High School. He was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches and a longtime active member of Provencal Baptist Church. He was always lending a helping hand to anyone and everyone in need. He thouroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors and with his family. He was inspirational in his faith in the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Deborah Honeycutt Skinner of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Steven Douglas Skinner and wife Callie of Natchitoches, LA; his grandson, Brantley Chad Skinner of Natchitoches; two sisters, Paulette Cannon and husband Mason of Many, LA and Terri Skinner of Lafayette, LA; two nephews, Chad Greer of Los Angeles, CA and Zach Williams of Florien, LA; one niece, Heather Danos and husband Elton of Lafayette, LA; two great nephews, Collin Lowrey and Bryson Danos of Lafayette, LA; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Louis Skinner and Dorothy Pauline Greer Skinner. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Zach Williams, Kevin Honeycutt, Greg Honeycutt, Mason Cannon, Winston Bridges, and Tommy Basco.
