Alma Jane (Antilley) Fernandez

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Alma (Antilley) Fernandez will be 6 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis with Matthew Pagels officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Saturday the 29th at Blanchard St. Denis. Mrs. Fernandez, 60 years of age, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Natchitoches. She was born February 21, 1954 to William Antilley, Jr. and Mary (Pine) Antilley in Leesville, LA. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Rose Mary Jacob. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Fernandez, Jr. of Campti; son, John Fernandez, III of Campti; daughter, Barbara Fontenot and her husband Scotty of Pineville; her mother, Mary Antilley of Natchitoches; sisters, Martha Dalme and her husband Herbert of Natchitoches; Kathy LaCour and her husband Richard of Natchitoches; and her brother-in-law, Jay Jacob. She was blessed with one grandchild, Jayden Jace Fernandez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fernandez touched so many lives with her kind, gentle nature.  She never met a stranger and even in death would want to help others.  As such, in lieu of floral contributions, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Alma’s name be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
