Funeral service for Jack T Sims will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Joshua Currie officiating. Interment will follow at Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on April 4, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Jack Sims, 78 years of age, passed away April 2, 2014. Jack was born November 13, 1935 in Arkadelphia, AR.  He was a loving husband and father, and lived a full life. He was full of laughter and always saw the good side of things. He loved his country, serving in the US Army earlier in his life. He loved to spend time outdoors, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Woods Sims of Natchitoches, LA; his daughter, Mary Cadwallader and husband David of Natchitoches, LA; two grandchildren, Elizabeth DeLoach of Natchitoches, LA and Joshua DeLoach and wife Ellie of Coushatta, LA; and one great grandchild, Jace DeLoach. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jackson Sims and Wilma Carr Sims. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joshua DeLoach, William DeLoach, Jack Sims, James Jacobs, Timmy Sims, Charlie Sims, Randy Sims, and Eugene Sims.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Hinds, Dusty Freemyer, James Greg Jacobs, and Bruce Nelson.
