Funeral service for Douglas Willie Grappe will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Father Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on April 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Douglas Grappe, 84 years of age, was born November 10, 1929 and passed away April 2, 2014. He is survived by his five children, Clark, Carey, Randall, Sharon Huffman, and Richard; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Dovie Basco Grappe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Earl Grappe and Bessie Inez Banks Grappe; and one son, Timothy Lee Grappe.
