Richard Clifford Eller

A memorial service for Mr. Richard Eller will be 2 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Don Winn officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service at Blanchard St. Denis on Tuesday the 22nd. Mr. Eller, 62 years of age, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014. He was born March 7, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Clifford and Florence (Smokorowski) Eller. He earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Forestry from Louisiana State University. He worked for International Paper for many years as a forester. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Beth Eller; his daughter, Laura Eller and her husband Jason McLester; son, Shawn Eller and his wife Monique; his brother, Michael William Eller; grandchildren, Sarah, Jesse and “Munch”; as well as numerous extended family and friends.In lieu of floral contributions, the family requests donations by made in Richard's name to the Northern Lights (Sled Dog Rescue)www.petfinder.com/shelters/northernlights.html or to the Samaritan Purse (International Relief Charity) www.samaritanspurse.org
