Funeral services for Mrs. Temble Lee Cedars Vercher will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Chopin. Rev John Cunningham and Rev Harold Imamshah will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches and at the church Sunday from 10am until service time.
Mrs Temble Lee Cedars Vercher, 79, passed away July 25, 2008 at her residence in Chopin, LA. She was born May 29, 1929 to her late parents Angelina Bynog and Woody Cedars.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vercher; youngest daughter Peggy Jean Blackwell of Pearl, MS; sister, Ella Mae Dickens and brother, Charlie Cedars.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Ann Martin and her husband James of Chopin, Gloria Ann Setliff and her husband John of Flatwoods; a son, Clyde Vercher of Cloutierville; son-in-law, Carl Blackwell of Pearl, MS; one sister, Mary Jane Mouton of Chopin; two brothers, Albert Cedars of Lake Charles and Alvin Cedars of Sibley; grandchildren, Tammy Edwards, Patrick Miller, Michael Blackwell, Alicia Blackwell, and Joseph Clyde Vercher; great-grandhildren, Barbara Vercher, Willie Vercher, Joseph Vercher, Mary Vercher, Carlie Blackwell, Cara Blackwell and Cannon Blackwell
