Funeral service for Roy T. Wright will be held 10 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel in Natchitoches, La. with Rev. Ronald Morgan officiating. Graveside service will be 3 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in Springhill Cemetery in Springhill, La. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2008 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Wright, 71, of Campti, La., died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He was a native of Springhill, La. He was a retired pulp mill crew leader for Weyerhaeuser Red River Mill and had worked for International Paper in Springhill, La. with a total of 49 years in the paper industry. He was a member and deacon of Cane River Missionary Baptist Church in Natchitoches, La. He had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior in l954 and became a member of First Baptist Church in Springhill, La. and was a faithful servant in various capacities. He was also a member of Silent Brotherhood Masonic Lodge #146, Springhill Masonic Lodge #348 where he was Past Master, Wagner Chapter #111 Order of Eastern Star where he was Past Patron, and Goldonnna Chapter #244 O E S. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Wright and Buelah House Wright. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elouida Frye Wright of Campti, La.; one son, Roy Paul Wright and wife Terrie of Campti, La.; two grandchildren, Paul Michael Wright and wife Alyssa of Campti, La. and Holly Ann Miller and husband Heath of Natchitoches, La.; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, London, and Logan Wright, and Chloe Miller; one sister, Edna Fay Carscadden and husband Ralph of Shreveport, La.; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be members of the Springhill Masonic Lodge. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie, Tim, Terry, and Mike Powell, Timmy White, Ronny Lennard, Max Pepper, Richard Waters, Robert White and Lance Rabalais. Mr. Wright's family would like to extend a special thanks to Willis-Knighton Medical Center North, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, LifeCare on Linwood Avenue, Speciality Rehab Hospital in Coushatta, and Thompson Home Health.
