Mr. Lindsey, 87 years of age, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born April 27, 1927 to William and Alice (Council) Lindsey in Coushatta, LA. Junior and Peggy met each other in 1951, but life moved them in different directions. After the loss of both spouses they re-united and were married March 3, 1990. Although he had no children, the marriage to Peggy in 1990 brought him 5. He received them and grandchildren with open arms and they reciprocated. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for any of his children or grandchildren no matter the importance of the completion of his project. He loved antique cars, of which he owned a few, and especially tinkering with them. He could fix anything. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for large crowds, especially frying catfish. He enjoyed being a member of the congregation at Provencal United Pentecostal Church. He patriotically served in the United States Air Force and held the rank of Sergeant. Junior found good in everyone and was always willing to give anything to help someone in need. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He will also be dearly missed by his pet dog named "Pierre".
