Travis L. Foshee

Funeral service for Mr. Travis Lindale Foshee will be at 10 am Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowells Mill, LA. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time at Blanchard St. Denis on Saturday July 5th. Mr. Foshee, 79 years of age, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was born March 14, 1935 to Monroe and Bessie Foshee in Vowells Mill, LA. He honorably served in the United States Army. After his service he was employed as a machinist for Maintenance Engineering Corporation from which he ultimately retired. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sybil Slaughter, Opal Penrod, Yvonne Slaughter and his twin, Dennis Foshee. He is survived by his son, Shannon Foshee of Baytown, TX; and siblings, Etoile Jones of Natchitoches, Nolan Foshee of Baytown, TX, and Thelma Pitts of Vowells Mill. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Irvin Slaughter, Monroe Penrod, Richard Penrod, Charles Penrod, Reginald Wilson and Jonathan Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Pitts, Joey Bynog, Lovell Slaughter and Stephen Burkhalter.
