Roy was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother and son. He was a southern man to the core. He loved Saints football, NASCAR and LSU. He lived with as much passion for the game as he did for all areas of his life. He wanted to live life to the fullest, appreciate our God given time on earth, and live every day like it was his last; having no regrets when God called him home. He took advantage of every day, just as we all should.
He loved his family, and never passed an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of those he loved. He loved his children and took great pride in all the successes they achieved. He never missed a ball game or track meet, and was always ready with a video camera to capture those special moments. The pride he felt for their accomplishments was worn for all to see. He was not a perfect man, but he was loyal to family and friends and was a man you could turn to in a time of need because he was always willing to help.
