Funeral services for Sherman Reed Honeycutt will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Bro. Wesley Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood , LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on August 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Sherman Honeycutt, 72 years of age, passed away August 2, 2014. He was born August 16, 1941 in Vowells Mill, LA. He was a likable and friendly man that never met a stranger. He remembered everyone that he met, knew when their birthday was, and could tell you who they were kin to. He loved to talk, loved God, and loved his family. He will be dearly missed. He was survived by his brother, Douglas Honeycutt and his wife, Bobbie Jean of Natchitoches, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leo Honeycutt and Bessie Nelms Honeycutt; and two brothers, Wilburn Honeycutt and his late wife Faye and Huey Donell Honeycutt and his late wife Eloise. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Kevin Honeycutt, Steven Skinner, Gregory Honeycutt, Clifton Honeycutt and Donald Wayne Sharp.
