Rachel (Jordan) Colbert

Funeral service for Mrs. Rachel Jordan Colbert will be at 11 am Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church of Campti with Bro. Tommy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, August 15th at the United Pentecostal Church of Campti, 3123 Highway 71, Campti, LA 71411. Rachel, 43 years of age and a resident of Campti, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Natchitoches. She was born January 29, 1971 to James “Lee” Jordan and Barbara Jean Dorsey Gibson in Houston, Texas. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James “Lee” Jordan; paternal grandparents, Lee Edward Jordan and Billie Pearl Jordan; maternal grandparents, Sam Hillory Dorsey and Lillie Ivy Dorsey. She is survived by her husband, Houston Colbert of Campti; sons, Houston Alenferrall Colbert and his wife Leah of Campti and Randall Paul Colbert of Campti; mother, Barbara Jean Jordan Gibson and her husband John of Flora; brother, James Lee Jordan, Jr. and his wife Dee Dee of Natchitoches. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Tanner, Ethan, Brantlee Mae and Korbyn; nephew Cody Jordan; as well as extended family and many friends.
